Manager Sooty Cleal has made his first “new signing” of the summer ahead of the 2021/22 Southern League campaign as forward Harry Emmett has agreed to join the Foresters.
Emmett who scored 23 goals in his last 50 appearances for Longlevens has opted to join Cinderford despite interest from several other clubs.
“Harry is someone who has caught the eye of most managers he plays against because of the way he plays, he came across to the sessions we had last month and to see him involved then made me excited to bring him to the Causeway”
Emmett, the former Cheltenham Town youth player, will join up with his new team mates when they return to training on the 29th June ahead of a busy pre season schedule that will see some big clubs visiting the causeway as part of their centenary year.
When asked about his move the 20 year old had this to say “Im buzzing to get going really as im already bored without football! Cinderford is a great club and the plans Sooty (manager Steve Cleal) and Morf (Will Morford assistant) talked about and the style they want to play will suit me and I feel it’s the best place for me to continue my development”
“I loved my time at Levens and want to thank everyone there but I’m excited about this opportunity and testing myself at the higher level”
