We are delighted to announce the signing of McCauley Power!
The forward made a notable impression during his time in the Welsh League, and made 70 appearances during his time in Wales playing for clubs such as Briton Ferry, Trefelin BGC and Swansea University. Power will bring his valuable experience and technical ability to The Foresters as they continue their campaign in the Southern League.
“It is a pleasure to be here, coming from the Welsh Football System to the English system is a big step for myself and I am very happy with the move to Cinderford. From conversations with Matt and also training, I could see Cinderford was the team for me, moving to the English system for myself is a big move but at the end of the day it’s football and all I want to do is win and that’s exactly what we will do,” the 22-year-old said.
The youngster made his debut on Saturday against Shaftesbury and played a part in the Foresters’ 3-1 victory at the Causeway.
“Firstly it felt good to have the shirt on and get a decent amount of minutes. As a new signing it is always a perfect start to win at home. There is no better feeling than winning at home in-front of the fans and to show teams that it’s never easy to come to The Causeway.”
“As a new player it is always expected to be on the bench at the start but to be given the opportunity to play 45 minutes and also to play a part in the 2nd and 3rd goals was amazing and a perfect start for myself.
“I am looking forward to the rest of the season and cannot wait to get back to it again for Tuesday night, and also a massive thank you to Matt, Morfs and the community for given me the opportunity to play for such a great club” he smiled.
Welcome to the Foresters Power, and we look forward to seeing more of you this season!
